Hey, it's Pascio.

Continuing my email from yesterday,

After having realized that Notion templates were monetizable,

I decided to do what any smart entrepreneur would do.

Market research.

"Can I actually get paid for something like this?", I remember thinking.

The true test would be to build a completely fresh template and try to sell it.

But what template should I be building?

So I looked at my life.

What was I needing in my life at the time?

I was working out daily, trying to improve my health.

Taking vitamins, drinking 3L of water, counting my steps.

But I was doing it all in an old roughed up notebook.

"What if there was a digital system to track these things?", I thought to myself.

So I started scanning the internet to see if anyone else had made anything similar that I could draw inspiration from.

Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Well...

Nothing else to do than bite the bullet.

35 cups of coffee and one weekend later I had built this:

I called it The Health Hub.

A health tracking system with literally everything I needed at the time.

And building this system taught me a lot of fundamental Notion skills that would later come in handy.

I remember being pretty satisfied looking at this beauty after it was finished.

"Could it be sold?", I asked myself.

So I went onto Twitter, Reddit and in Facebook Groups.

Started posting this screenshot everywhere.

Asking if people were interested in trying it out.

The response was crazy to say the least.

So I did what any smart marketer would do...

I went into Canva and created the worlds most beautiful mockups...

Oh yeah, also...

I wasn't always as pretty as I am today,

As you can clearly tell from my old Notion avatar.

Graphical plastic surgery really does wonders.

Don't judge.

Joke aside, I then built a Gumroad landing page to start collecting emails.

Here's how it looked:

My train of thought was this...

If I could collect emails by offering the the template for free in return,
I could use those emails to get upvotes when launching on Producthunt,
And when I launched on Producthunt, I could charge money for my template.

Would it work out?

Would it be a flop?

Would people even care?

Was I an imposter?

These questions kept ruminating around my mind.

I later came to learn that this happens to every aspiring entrepreneur.

I didn't let impostor syndrome get the better of me though,

I stayed the course and took action.

Tomorrow I'll explain what happened when I finally launched on Producthunt...
